Ok rules for this thread: 1) Only event organizers will post, to reduce clutter. Keep the discussion out of this thread and in the event-specific thread please. 2) Try to keep editing to a minimum; that is, post here only when you're quite sure about the date, time, and location of your...

  5. The Tikit vs Brompton debate

It seems to me that we get a lot of questions and debate about which is the better bike - The Brompton or the Tikit. Both are 16" (349) size wheels, high quality bikes, in the same price range. Each bike evokes great passion and loyalty from their customers, who appear to come from different...

  7. Schwinn Hinge for touring?

Whats the word on the Schwinn hinge? I plan on doing a hitchbiking trip, about 50% hitching, and 50% biking. A folder would be ideal, but the thousand dollar price tag is ludicrous to me. Anyone have experience with the schwinn hinge? Thanks.

Over the next n months I'll be boring the pants off you guys with morsels from my next build - a non-folding Raleigh Twenty frame I picked up for £4.99 GBP last year that's destined to become some sort of road-bike with possibly 650c (ISO 571mm) wheels, or if that's too tall and order, 559mm (MTB)...

Well after much deliberation, I have to part with my folder.. 17. Raleigh Twenty folding bike bent frame - Truing

I found a Raleigh Twenty folding bike on the street one day. I thought it was abandoned because of all the rusty parts, but when i got on it and started pedaling, I noticed i was lopsided on the saddle and steering–well, there was practically no steering. I decided to ride the bike home anyways...

  19. How do you change tubes on the rear wheel of a Brompton if you have a flat?

The rear wheel has a hex nut on the right side with the shifter chain going into it. I don't see how you loosen nuts on both ends of the wheel and the wheel would drop out so you can change the tube.
